General Placement Service (GPS), organized in 1978, focuses on locating and filling positions for insurance companies, insurance agencies, and insurance brokers. GPS currently employs full time recruiters specializing in property and casualty underwriting, claims and loss control, sales and marketing, clerical and support, and financial products including life, health and benefits.
The many years of working in the insurance industry have provided us with excellent contacts and working relationships with hiring authorities, who rely on us to consult with them about their employment needs and problems, and who ultimately hire us to fill their positions. Our many years of experience in the insurance recruitment field sets us apart from the other recruiters and gives our firm the type of expertise needed to fill important and valued assignments.
General Placement Service enjoys the advantage of membership in the premier cooperative network in the country. National Insurance Recruiting Association (NIRA) is organized to offer long distance cooperative research for candidates seeking out of town positions, and companies seeking to fill positions in another location. When the background of a candidate, or the requirements of a position which we are working on, require coverage on a national basis, our office can confidentially call upon the resources of hundreds of insurance recruiters around the country, with the results being funneled through one person in our office.
